An investigation on the effect of Be on S$\sp\prime$ phase precipitation in pseudobinary Al($\alpha$)-S(Al$\sb2$CuMg) alloy is carried out using microhardness measurement, resistivity analysis, optical, SEM and TEM microscopy, X-ray diffraction, EDS and WDS analysis, tensile and charpy-V notch impact tests, and fractography.
