Animal rescue is a commons that is united under the shared obligation to care for and protect animals in our society. To develop a commons that supports animal rescue, effective leadership is crucial in changing the public’s perspective of animals from disposable entities to valued members of our shared community. Robin Bisha’s autoethnography examines the experience of leadership in the commons as a vital figure in her local community who progressed animal rights and welfare.
