Using Interorganizational Collaboration to Create Shared Leadership through Collective Identity Development
Proposal
This poster explores the different factors involved in effectively collaborating within multiple organizations. The major topics discussed in this presentation include time, collaboration, committed members, access to resources, and more. We also discuss collective identity, which is a major concept revolving around the idea of truly working as a team by emphasizing collective willingness, and the establishment of collective intention to move a project to a common goal. These factors, while overlooked at times, are vital in working together effectively and ensuring that every member feels valued and respected through the project’s timeline. We have linked these concepts to applicable day-to-day organizations (start-ups, scientific collaboration etc), to prove its relevance in day-to-day work. We challenge you all to evaluate your current and future inter-organizational workflows and make changes to its structure if need be in order to obtain a productive and respectful collaborative environment.
