Abstract

The BF3. OEt2 mediated addition reactions of electron-rich arenes to 1,3-dialkoxyhepta-2,5-diyne(dodecacarbonyl)-tetracobalt complex 1 directly afford [7]metacyclophanediyne(dodecacarbonyl)tetracobalt complexes.
