Abstract
In this thesis we explore the operator space structure on the spaces LpG (1 ≤ p ≤ infinity ) on locally compact groups G. On any locally compact group G there are Banach spaces LpG (1 ≤ p ≤ infinity ). There is an inborn operator space structure for LinfinityG ; as pre-dual of LinfinityG ,L1 G has an operator space structure. In order to get the operator space structure on spaces LpG (1 < p < infinity ), we use the complex interpolation method. The main contribution of this thesis is to give the explicit form of the LpG operator space structure and verify that what we get is consistent with the conventions of operator spaces.Dept. of Mathematics and Statistics.
