Abstract
In PART I of this paper will, be noted the services of the school toward the Church and toward society; and then at some length we shall outline the services of the school toward the individual, showing how the school aids in the development of character formation. The three fundamental services of the school to the individual which will be dealt with are (1) experience and experiment as methods of learning; (2) intellectual training; and (3) character formation.
PART II of this paper will be more practical and will attempt to show how the school can accomplish its work with the individual in special reference to the adolescent - the type of person we deal with in the high school level. The arrangement of the chapters necessitates a certain degree of overlapping, which however has been avoided wherever possible.
