Abstract
The battery is the most crucial component in any device and proper battery maintenance is needed for it to work effectively. Previously, the lead acid batteries were widely used in the battery backup systems and other electrical systems; however, the lithium batteries are now preferred, and it should be monitored effectively. As a result, a systematic battery management system must be introduced such that the battery's output can be monitored continuously. The battery management system is a part of a system that keeps track of the operating system, output, and battery life, as well as the charge and discharge processes. This system is made up of measuring devices that keep track of temperature, voltage and current in the battery. The state of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH) can be determined using the values of the battery. The IoT based battery management system detects battery output by using an IoT power calculator to estimate battery life and analyse IoT Processors sleep modes.
