Proposal
The proposal discusses an affordable and energy efficient air purifier to combat air pollution in Delhi and improve air quality for citizens. It can be installed in public transport systems, mainly buses. The design will feature a multistage filtration process with a combination of High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters, silica layers, and activated carbon layers. An Electronic Control Unit (ECU) consisting of gas sensors and Radio Frequency (RF) modules is also integrated into the system, helping monitor the Air Quality Index (AQI). The RF transceivers are strategically placed in pollution-dense bus stops to collect the location specific AQI data and transmit it to a server. The data obtained from the server is then used to build an advanced data analytics model which can be used to further study the traffic air pollution pattern.
