Sayram is a short film about a road trip with my father. One road; one car; 12 minutes without any dialogue between father and son. Both of them seem like strange passengers for each other in the car; sharing silence and contemplation with each other. Less than being composed in a linear narrative way, the film consists of a number of fragmented shots. The director combines the fragmented shots with clean sound through restrained expression without any decoration. The audience is slowly introduced to the delicate emotional changes in a father - son relationship. It’s about recording the original taste of this lonely journey.
