This planet's largest ecosystem is being endangered and the life of land will soon face consequences, the purpose of this project is to avoid such calamity potentially. The internet provided info about the studies conducted by the US geological survey and other organizations to inform about the current situation regarding water safety. Unfortunately, the mismanagement of water and the pollution cases keep on increasing and if steps are not taken in response to time, billions of people would lose access to safe water and hygiene, and the ocean's ecosystems would be barely active. The visible sources of Water pollution happen to be industrial wastage, marine dumping, radioactive waste, and other lethal wastes. This project allowed me to learn more about our water condition and assist society to have a better future than what we might foresee. The study finds that the plastic which enters oceans annually, will double or triple by 2040. Several organizations have come forward to protect the water resources, while some have developed technologies to convert ocean water into normal water. The advantages of desalination plants would increase water supply in desert-prone areas, the drawbacks are quite intense since they are dependent on fossil fuels and produce a toxic waste called 'Brine'. Overfishing causes several fish species to go extinct while marine pollution can also have an effect on safe water for humans. In this position, we have drawbacks no matter what steps we might take, so the path with the least flaws is the better option. The purpose of this presentation is to educate the listeners about water pollution and how it affects the society. The least harmful strategy included can be impactful if applied now, it becomes less effective by the time passes. 'You may delay, time will not'
